paperdolls

I did some paper dolls all the way back when I started art school and they have been hanging out in one of my workbooks... At the time... it was supposed to be about how I might judge people based on what i first see of them.

But now I think it's also about the desire to be somebody else... I look, and judge, and imagine if I had her life how easy it would be, how different it would be, how much better it could be... But what do I really know of it?

And also it's just a bit of fun; wanting to be somebody else isn't always a bad thing. I love playing dress-ups.


Rosie on the right is my favourite one... although I do have a soft spot for geeky glasses girl too...
